‘No One Sees Me’ Book Layout

This project involved collaborating with a children’s book author and illustrator to develop a cohesive printed book layout that supports both narrative flow and visual storytelling. Working from early manuscript drafts and illustrated spreads, I focused on translating the story’s tone into a considered typographic and compositional system that could guide young readers through each page with clarity and rhythm.

My design process balanced the expressive qualities of the illustrations with a structured layout approach, ensuring that text placement, pacing, and page transitions enhanced rather than competed with the artwork. Through iterative feedback with the author and illustrator, I refined hierarchy, scale, and alignment across spreads, resulting in a unified publication that brings together story, image, and layout into an engaging and accessible reading experience for children.
